Sixth Form Welcome
Via Veritas Vita
Our motto sums up what we offer in the Sixth Form: education in a strong community underpinned by Christian values that will enable you to be well prepared and live a good, fulfilling life. Our broad range of Level 3 qualifications including A levels and BTECs are carefully selected to offer a range of opportunities to our young people. They are also tried and tested programmes with exceptional levels of success.
We welcome students from a wide range of schools across the Island and beyond to join the 60% or so of our Year 11 students who stay on. All are welcome and are treated fairly.
Our reputation is built on the firm foundations of high-quality teaching, careful monitoring of each student’s needs, strong pastoral support and our Christian values and principles.
Every Sixth Form student at Christ the King College has:
-
An individually negotiated programme of study
-
A well-planned programme of academic work
-
Personalised support including study skills and support with aspirational pathways
-
Careers guidance and specialised UCAS advice
-
The opportunity for work experience
-
Links with employers and higher education
-
Opportunities for physical recreation and community service
-
An entitlement to continuing spiritual development
Our ambition is that Sixth Form students grow in independence and take responsibility for their own learning and success. The outstanding achievements of Christ the King College Sixth Form students, both in College and after they leave, are testament to their commitment and our education.
